Activities and achievements of the Department:-

a)     Activities:

1)    Guest lectures are arranged in first term and second term.

2)    Teacher’s Training Program was conducted for revised syllabus of B. Sc. I sponsored by S. U. Kolhapur on dated 13-08-2013.

3)    Students of B. Sc. II and III are participating One day Oral Quiz Competition at Chh. Shahu College, Kolhapur organized by SUSTA on dated 09-02-2014.

4)    Miss Jadhav Poonam stood first rank in Statistical oral quiz competition organized by SUSTA on dated 09-02-2014 at Chh. Shahu College, Kolhapur. 

5)    15 Students of B. Sc. II are participating two days Camp at Kisan Veer Maha., Wai. Dist: Satara on dated 11^th & 12^th Jan. 2014.

6)     As per syllabus B. Sc. III students doing the project work selecting the different problems.

7)    As per syllabus B. Sc. II students doing the project work selecting the problem.

8)     Participation of B. Sc.III (Statistics) students in rally on behalf of the Golden Jubilee Year of Vivekanand College & Birthday Celebration of Executive Chairman Shri. Swami Vivekananad Shikshan Sanstha Hon. Abhaykumar Salunkhe on dated 17-02-2014.

9)From our department 247 number of students (B.Sc.I-96,B.Sc.-II-48,B.Sc-III-24,B.C.S.-59,B.Com-II-20) appeared for written Basic Statistics Quiz organized by SUSTA on dated 02-03-2014 at G.K.G.College ,Kolhapur.

i) Prof. Irpenwar B. M. registered for Ph.D. in S.R.T.M.U. Nanded. Published two Research Papers in International Journal of Statistical & Mathematical  ISSN;2277-2790, Vol.6, Issue -1 ,2013.

iii)   Prof. Miss Pawar V. V. submitted minor research project to U. G. C.

1.  Mr. Ashok Bapu Bhosale stood 5^th rank in Science faculty & 2^nd  rank in subject (Statistics) at B.Sc. Part -III level in Shivaji University Kolhapur for the academic year 2012-13. So that he has been awarded Dr. Pandurang Vasudeo Sukhatme Memorial Prize by, SUSTA. He stood 1^st Rank in the entrance examination for M. Sc. Statistics, S. U. Kolhapur. He stood 1^st rank in B.Sc. Part –III of all subjects in Vivekanand College, Kolhapur & he felicitated by giving Memento & certificate from college.

2.  Miss. Ghadge Shubhangi Rajaram stood 1^st in Statistics subject at B.Sc. Part-II examination held by Shivaji University Kolhapur for the academic year 2012-13. So that she has been awarded Dr. Pandurang Vasudeo Sukhatme Memorial Prize by, SUSTA.

3.  M. Sc. Admisson: 16 students out of 23 got admission through entrance examination for M. Sc. Statistics,      S. U. Kolhapur.

4. Mohan Bamane ex-student and teacher of this department passed ISS examination and appointed as a director in Central Government of India.
