i. Dr. A. R. Kasarkar has obtained Ph.D. in Botany during year 2013 from Pune University

 ii. Miss Redekar Priyanka B. has obtained precious Tare prize from Sivaji University, Kolhapur    in year 2011.

            7. Departmental Library:

Department library having seventy eight  Reference and Text books related to Plant Physiology, Plant Breading, Cell Biology, Genetics, Ecology, Agriculture, Pathology, Algae, Funji, Bryophyte, Pteridophyte, Angiosperm,   Molecular Biology, Microbiology etc. benefited for the students and staff members. Above books were donated by past students, staff and publishers.

i. Prof. S. A. Patil: Minor Research Project entitled “ To study effect of Pesticides on soil             microflora of vegetable cultivating area of Karvir Tahsil Dist. Kolhapur

ii. Dr. P. B. Kale, Prof. S. B. Jadhav, Prof. S.A. Patil: Minor Research Project entitled “Study of             the Soil Problems due to over Irrigation and Heavy use of Chemical Fertilizers along the    Krishna and Panchaganga Rivers belt from Shirol Tahsil District Kolhapur”

Cooling Centrifuge, Gel-electrophoresis, Oven, Soil and Water Analysis Kit, Spectrophotometer, LCD Projector, Trinocular Microscope, Hand Refractometer, Digital eye Piece, Laminar air flow, PH Meter, Microtome, COD Reflux unit, Water Bath, Occular and Stage Micrometer, Research Microscope, Digital Camera, Students Microscopes etc.

10. Consultancy

            All faculty members from department have given guidance and suggestions regarding pest control, weed control, organic farming, biofertilizers, use of advanced irrigation techniques etc.

11. Guest Lectures

            To enrich the knowledge of the students department had organized guest lectures on different aspects like “Community Gardening” and “Importance and care of Soil”.
